In a bid to provide quality services to its members, LATAZ at its National Council Meeting held in March 2023, resolved to establish Special Interest Groups. A Special Interest Group (SIG) is a community within a larger organisation with a shared interest in advancing a specific area of knowledge, expertise, learning or technology where members cooperate to affect or produce solutions within their particular field and may communicate, meet and organise events like conferences.

The Special Interest Groups have been established for the following purposes:

  1. Increase and broaden member participation opportunities.
  2. Develop local expertise in various language teaching areas.
