Volunteer

Volunteer

Like other non-profit organisations, LATAZ is always in need of volunteers who can support its mission, goals and plans to connect develop and support language and literacy professionals in Zambia.

Volunteers will serve for varying periods in certain positions and may be required to have been members of the association for a certain duration. This is to ensure that individuals who fill certain roles have sufficient working knowledge of the association. Each  Special Interest Group (SIG) will require a certain skill set and level of expertise besides knowledge of the association’s work and will spell out the eligibility criteria when calls for application are made. Generally, the following shall apply:

  • Up-to-date LATAZ  membership
  • A good understanding of LATAZ policies and familiarity with the LATAZ Code of Conduct. (See here)
  • Freedom and availability to attend occasional meetings (normally online).
  • Possession of special skills (experience in materials writing, publishing, running conferences, fundraising, social media, website design and organising local groups).
  • In events where volunteers may require travel and accommodation, LATAZ may reimburse the costs, subject to the availability of funds and within its prevailing limits.

If you possess the above attributes, subscribe to our email service for call for applications alerts, check our social media platforms and apply for any role that meets your interests. T!
