The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition | Royal Commonwealth SocietyThe Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition is the world’s oldest international writing competition for schools, proudly delivered by the Royal Commonwealth Society since 1883. LATAZ Essay Competition

1.1.  Participants: Each entity shall field ONE contestant in this category.

1.2.  Procedure: Essays will be written in the form of Olympiads. Contestants will be registered according to entity and level.

1.3.  In the ‘examination room’ contestants will choose number cards.

1.4.  Contestants will use their numbers as identity on the answer papers.

1.5.  Invigilators (3) will make them sit according to level.

1.6.  Learners will write a standard response to a given question in their own handwriting.

1.7.  A panel of English Language Paper 1 examiners School Certificate Examiners will mark the essays using Examinations Council of Zambia standards.

1.8.  A chief examiner will coordinate to ensure the standards are maintained and array all fears of bias.

1.9.  Each essay will be assessed by three examiners.
